Brand Strategy & Website Design for Nomad Copy Agency
How Sam Got 4x More Inquries From Her Website In Six Weeks
Have you ever been so close to your own business that you can immediately spot what’s wrong with a client’s marketing… but have no idea what to do with your own?
That’s where Samantha Burmeister, founder of Nomad Copy Agency, found herself.
Sam is a copywriter and sales strategist with more than a decade of sales experience. She had a thriving business and knew her services were great, but her website wasn’t communicating her expertise clearly.
People were landing on her site and not understanding exactly what she did, who it was for, or what they should do next.
After a Stand Out Brand™ Strategy Session followed by a VIP Design Week to refresh her website, Sam got 4X more website inquiries in six weeks than she had in the previous six months plus a 366% increase in traffic to her contact page.
But before we dive in,
Here’s what Sam had to say…
"One of the first things that I noticed was that I was more confident in what I was saying because I knew it came back to a core message. Having a brand strategy also made making decisions easier like what copy I needed, what design changes to make and how to change the flow of my entire client acquisition process.
I received more inquiries in the six weeks after working with Morgan than I did in the six months before working with Morgan, which absolutely terrifies me to think about how many inquiries I might have missed in those six months just because my website and the flow of it didn't make sense."

The Challenge: A Website Copywriter Whose Own Website Was Costing Her Business
When Sam first reached out to me, she was in a bit of a spiral over her website.
As she put it: “I feel like my website’s a mess and I’ve done a really good job with it up until this point but people are not visiting it and knowing what’s going on.”
That was especially frustrating because Sam helps her own clients solve this exact problem every day.
She knows sales. She knows copy. She knows how to help a business communicate its value.
But when it came to her own business, she was simply too close to see what needed to change.
Sam had grown and evolved as a business owner, but her website hadn’t kept up. The messaging felt scattered, the path through her services wasn’t clear, and she didn’t feel confident sending potential clients there because she couldn’t trust that they’d immediately understand, Yep, this is for me.
And even if someone did land on the site, there were too many opportunities for them to get confused or drop off before ever reaching out.
Sam didn’t need to throw everything away and start over… she needed to get clear on the message first, and then make sure her website supported it.
Step One: Getting Crystal Clear on What Nomad Copy Agency Stands For
We started with a Stand Out Brand™ Strategy Session.
Sam already had the experience, the client results, and a roster of people singing her praises. Our job was to step outside of the day-to-day details and figure out how all of those pieces fit together into a message that made sense.
One of the biggest pieces we uncovered was the importance of Sam’s background in sales and sales psychology.
Sam doesn’t approach copy as a creative writing exercise. She starts with the strategy behind the sale—how people make decisions, what they need to understand, and what will help them confidently take the next step—and then layers in the client’s personality and voice.
That distinction was already part of how Sam worked. We just needed to make it much more obvious in how she talked about the business.
We also clarified the values and ideas that shaped her approach:
freedom over rigidity
strategy over creativity for creativity’s sake
truth over hype
education that helps her clients better understand sales and marketing
All of that gave us the core message that the rest of the brand could come back to.
And Sam felt the difference almost immediately.
“One of the first things that I noticed was that I was more confident in what I was saying because I knew it came back to a core message.”
Instead of staring at every new piece of copy, offer, or marketing decision like it was its own separate puzzle, Sam had a foundation to work from.
Now we needed to make sure her website communicated that same clarity →
Step Two: Turning That Strategy Into a Website That Made It Easier to Say “Yes”
Next, we moved into a VIP Design Week focused on refreshing Sam’s existing website.
We weren’t rebuilding the entire thing. We were taking what she already had and making strategic changes based on everything we had uncovered during her brand strategy work.
The goal was to create a much clearer path through the site.
When someone landed on Sam’s website, we wanted them to quickly understand what she does, recognize whether they’re the right fit, find the service that makes sense for them, and know exactly what to do next.
That meant clarifying the way her services were presented, making her sales expertise more prominent, and restructuring parts of the site so visitors weren’t left trying to piece together the story themselves.
We also looked at what happened after someone decided they might want to work with Sam.
At the time, her client acquisition process included an application that was adding an unnecessary step between an interested prospect and actually talking to her.
So we simplified that flow, too.
The strategy gave us a filter for all of these decisions. Instead of changing things because they looked nicer or seemed like a good idea, we could ask whether each change made Sam’s message clearer and helped the right person move toward working with her.
By the end of the project, Sam had something she hadn’t had before:
A website she actually felt confident sending people to.
The Results: 4X More Inquiries in Just 6 Weeks
And then we got to see what happened when more people actually understood what they were looking at.
In the six weeks after we finished our work together, Sam received four times as many website inquiries as she had in the previous six months.
Her contact page traffic also increased by 366%.
For Sam, those numbers were exciting… and a little terrifying.
“I received more inquiries in the six weeks after working with Morgan than I did in the six months before working with Morgan, which absolutely terrifies me to think about how many inquiries I might have missed in those six months just because my website and the flow of it didn’t make sense.”
Sam already had more than a decade of sales experience, a successful business, and plenty of happy clients. Our work together helped her communicate all of that expertise more clearly.
Her website gave potential clients a clearer understanding of how she could help, guided them toward the right offer, and made it easier to take the next step.
And Sam felt more confident, too.
The core message we developed during her strategy session gave her something to come back to when writing copy, creating content, talking about her services, or making decisions about the business.
As Sam explained:
“Having a brand strategy also made making decisions easier like what copy I needed, what design changes to make and how to change the flow of my entire client acquisition process.”
The strategy created the clarity needed to move forward, the new website put the right message in front of potential clients, and six weeks later she was seeing tangible results!
