Megan’s Journey Into Motherhood and Business
Megan’s path to motherhood was not easy or straightforward. She and her husband faced years of infertility struggles before eventually adopting their child and quickly after becoming pregnant with her second, and then third. That journey marked by patience, faith, and perseverance, shaped not only her approach to parenting, but also the kind of business she wanted to build.
Her early years of motherhood were fully devoted to her kids, but as they grew, Megan started to explore ways to earn income from home while still being present for her family. She dipped her toe into entrepreneurship through network marketing/MLM work. That season taught her a lot about sales, self-promotion, and social media — but also helped her realize she wanted more ownership over her work and the clients she served.
From there, she transitioned into virtual assistance (VA). The VA world exposed her to the behind-the-scenes of many different online businesses and gave her a chance to experiment with different types of work. Over time, she noticed a pattern: clients kept asking her to handle their social media. And not just to post content — they wanted real strategy behind it.
Recognizing both the demand and her own passion for the work, Megan made the leap into specializing in social media management, helping business owners create a consistent, strategic online presence without the stress of doing it all themselves.
How Motherhood Shapes Megan’s Business Today
Megan runs her business in a way that reflects her priorities as a mom. Her schedule is built around school drop-offs, pick-ups, and family activities. She takes on clients who respect her boundaries and value the balance she brings to the table.
Motherhood also made her more intentional about where she spends her time and energy. Instead of chasing every opportunity, she filters decisions through one central question: Will this work for my life? That mindset ensures her business supports her family, not the other way around.
